Network Space has submitted a planning application for the next phase of development at its strategic 30 acre Alchemy site in Knowsley, Merseyside. The commercial property business has submitted plans for an industrial workspace scheme totalling 100,000 sq ft with capacity to deliver a further 150,000 sq ft in later phases on the remaining land.
The development, which is located on the A580 close to junction 4 of the M57, comprises three new workspace units of 22,000, 33,000 and 46,000 sq ft. This latest phase of development will complement the fully occupied first phase development which also totalled 100,000 sq ft but comprised smaller units ranging between 6,000 – 12,000 sq ft.
Cllr Mike Murphy, Cabinet Member for Regeneration & Economic Development, Knowsley Council said: “The submission of this application by Network Space is a further demonstration of the confidence that developers have in choosing Knowsley as a place to invest and do business. Network Space is proposing a development, the scale and nature of which has not been constructed within the Liverpool City Region for a number of years and one for which I would envisage demand will be extremely high as there aren’t any properties of this type and quality currently available in the market place. I look forward to fully considering this proposal at planning committee in due course.”

The site is being marketed by commercial agent B8 Real Estate who is a specialist in Industrial and Distribution property in the North West.
