Passenger numbers at Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) continue to grow at the start of the winter season, with a rise of 5% in October compared to October 2017, with many passengers and families taking advantage of the choice of flights to some great overseas destinations during the school half term.
During October over 467,000 passengers travelled through LJLA – an increase of over 22,000 compared to the previous year, with growth for the year to date now reaching 135,000 additional passengers.
Some of the most popular destinations included a mix of holiday resorts and European capital cities including Alicante, Malaga, Palma, Rome, Dublin, Amsterdam and Paris.
Queue times for passengers to go through Airport security continued to remain low throughout October too, with 99% of all passengers taking 10 mins or less to pass through security.
