University Centre St Helens has launched a campaign to help local students who either started a UCAS Application to attend university but didn’t submit it before the January 15th deadline or haven’t started one at all. The awareness raising campaign will help to dispel myths that they have missed the chance to start university this September and highlight that they still have options available to them if they want to start a degree course in September 2016.
Victoria Roberts, Vice Principal at University Centre St Helens commented: “Many students may think that just because they have missed the UCAS deadline of the 15th January that they won’t be able to apply to attend university in September 2016, this simply isn’t the case. There are a number of opportunities and options between now and September for students to apply to university through UCAS.”
“If you haven’t registered on the UCAS system, make sure you do so as soon as possible.”
Individuals who want to begin a course in 2016 are advised to use the Late Application process before waiting for Clearing. There isn’t a different application process for late applications, it’s the same no matter when you apply. However, it’s important to get your application in early as university course places fill up quickly.
University Centre St Helens still has places available for some of its courses starting in September 2016.
Anybody who is interested in attending should come and take a look around and visit the next Open Day on Saturday 27th February, 10am – 2pm. It is an excellent opportunity to visit us and discover the many courses on offer and get answers to all of the questions you have. Find out more at uc.sthelens.ac.uk.
