The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic and Hill Dickinson have announced a three-year extension to their long-standing sponsorship deal, which recognises the international commercial law firm as Premier Sponsor.

The new sponsorship agreement, the first of its kind for Liverpool Philharmonic, commences with the start of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra’s 2016/2017 season in September, through to the end of the 2018/2019 season.

Since 2011, Hill Dickinson has been a regular sponsor of Liverpool Philharmonic, renewing its support through annually negotiated agreements. With the new three-year commitment to the organisation and an increase in its financial investment, Hill Dickinson will now be recognised as Premier Sponsor of Liverpool Philharmonic.

In the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra’s 2016/2017 season, Hill Dickinson will sponsor three concerts, led by Chief Conductor Vasily Petrenko and featuring superstar soloists such as Daniil Trifonov, the award-winning concert pianist.

As Premier Sponsor, Hill Dickinson will also provide additional financial support towards an independent report on Liverpool Philharmonic’s Musician in Residence programme with Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust. The Musician in Residence programme brings live music performance and practical music-making sessions to adults of all ages suffering from mental illness, including individuals with conditions such as brain injuries, dementia, learning disabilities and substance abuse. A new review of the programme, supported by Hill Dickinson, will explore how the programme supports recovery, improves health and wellbeing, and increases the confidence and communication skills of service users.

Established in Liverpool in 1810, Hill Dickinson has grown to become a leading international law firm but with its roots firmly planted in Liverpool. The extension of its sponsorship of Liverpool Philharmonic is demonstrative of its commitment to the City where its head office is located and to Liverpool’s vibrant cultural life.
