A competition which offers travellers the chance to win a pair of free flights while choosing a new destination for Liverpool’s newest airline, Blue Air, has been extended.
The competition was due to close this week but the deadline has been extended until Monday 30th October as the decision about a new destination is proving to be a very close call.
It’s rumoured that three European destinations are fighting it out for top spot following hundreds of entries from traveller’s eager to see their choice added to departure boards at Liverpool John Lennon Airport next summer. Anyone who votes will be in with a chance of winning a pair of free tickets to the chosen destination.
Blue Air began offering flights from Liverpool John Lennon Airport in March this year. Since then the airline has carried hundreds of thousands of passengers across Europe, flying to previously unserved destinations such as Rome and Cluj-Napoca.
The winning destination will be added to Blue Air’s itinerary from summer 2018.
Elena Signorelli, Blue Air’s sales and marketing manager for North West UK said:
“It’s been a really exciting start to our operations in Liverpool and it’s been great to see so many people from across the region choosing to fly with Blue Air. We’ve been operating for over 12 years, flying to over 100 European locations and we’re really excited for our passengers to select our next destination from Liverpool John Lennon Airport. What better way to discover where people want to visit than to get them involved and ask them to choose.
“The deadline has been extended to allow as many people as possible the opportunity to have their say but we really will have to close it on Monday 30th October so I urge anyone who hasn’t already done so to get online and vote.”
