The Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards has announced its shortlist to recognise excellence across the City Region’s tourism and hospitality industry.

Every year the judging panel sifts through hundreds of applications to narrow down the very best in the business.

These businesses will now go forward to the final judging panel ahead of the glittering awards ceremony on 24 May 2018. The panel have the difficult task of deciding who will be crowned winners in their respective categories at the black-tie event taking place at St George’s Hall.

In addition to the 14 categories shortlisted, the awards ceremony also includes The People’s Choice Award. This is the only category voted for by the public, recognising tourism businesses achieving excellence in customer service across the Liverpool City Region.

You can vote for your favourite business now by visiting www.lcrtourismawards.com and tell us why your chosen tourism business should be crowned winner on the 24 May.

The event helps celebrate the region’s £4.3bn visitor economy, with over 500 people set to attend the event this year.

Henry Brown, Head of Ticket Quarter our Associate Sponsor, said: “Ticket Quarter is honoured to be the Associate Sponsor of this prestigious awards ceremony as we celebrate the success of the visitor economy. Our region prides itself on the strength of our tourism and cultural offering and at Ticket Quarter our mission is to remove any barriers to discovering what’s on and to ensuring that our region’s offer is accessible to all.
The Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards gives us all the opportunity to reflect on how important it is that we all work together to continue to promote our dynamic destination.”

Sponsors this year already include Ticket Quarter, ACC Liverpool, Albert Dock, Expedia, Liverpool BID Company, Liverpool John Lennon Airport, Marketing Liverpool, Merseyrail, NatWest, Wild Thang and Wirral Chamber of Commerce.
