Taking place virtually this year is the Liverpool City Region Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) annual conference.

This year’s conference will review the work of the LEP and Growth Platform and will be hosted live from MSP Studio in Bootle by two students from Agent Academy on their digital and creative learning programme.

Widely seen as an important date in the local business calendar, it brings together people from key companies across the public and private sector to address unique business opportunities and challenges facing the Liverpool City Region.

The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Building Back Better’ covering the themes of net zero, digital and technology and social value, whilst internet-based company, Moonpig will provide an overview on ‘building a business in a challenging economy’.

Also addressed will be what the future holds for the city region with a focus on the recently announced Freeport, how the visitor economy can rebuild, the Southport Town Deal, and Everton Football Club’s investment and new development at Bramley-Moore Dock.

Asif Hamid MBE, Chair of the LEP said: “Over the past few years the LEP conference has provided the business community with sound knowledge and opinion. Even though it will look different this year – now, more than ever, is the time for us to come together as a region to explore options, opportunities and ideas as a whole. We are living through a time of uncertainty, but I believe we are a region like no other with unique assets and plenty of reasons to expect a powerful recovery.”
