The Maritime Exchange is a new national maritime conference organised and in association with Mersey Maritime.

The conference will address some of the key themes raised in the Governments Maritime 2050 report including Trade, Technology and Innovation and People and Skills.

In response to the Government’s Maritime 2050 report, Mersey Maritime will host their first summer conference. This free to attend, one-day event will take place on Thursday 13 June 2019 at Liverpool Town Hall, attracting delegates from across the UK.

‘The Maritime Exchange,’ will provide a platform for industry, trade bodies, academia and Government to come together and share ideas, and case studies surrounding the opportunities and challenges for the maritime sector.

The conference will provide vital updates about key themes drawn from Maritime 2050 including the changing landscapes of Trade, Skills and Technology, with each theme being examined by an industry leading speaker and panel, striving to provide practical applications to business throughout.

The programme:

The conference will be chaired by Helen Kelly, Head of Communications, Nautilus and will comprise of 3 sessions delivered by an industry leading speaker followed by a panel discussion.

  • Session 1: Maintaining Global Competitiveness: The changing face of Importing and Exporting
  • Session 2: The Maritime Workforce of the Future: Meeting the People and Skills gaps
  • Session 3: Technology and Innovation: Striving for a safer and more efficient maritime sector
