8000 young people attending the Big Bang North West 2019 – Liverpool to erupt with innovation

On the 2nd of July 2019, The Big Bang North West hits The Exhibition Centre Liverpool and 8000 young people from across the region will celebrate Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) as they enjoy exciting exhibits, sensational shows and ingenious innovation!

The Big Bang North West is a STEM celebration for school children and part of a programme led by EngineeringUK. Big Bang events enable young people to discover the exciting and rewarding STEM based careers available in their local area via fun, hands-on activities. Adding to the excitement, the event hosts the regional heat of The Big Bang UK Young Scientists & Engineers Competition.

Visitors to the event can immerse themselves in virtual & augmented reality, enjoy sensational science & fire shows, green-screen technology, gadgets, robots, coding, creatures, slime, medical magic and more.

All About STEM, the team behind The Big Bang North West are well known for doing incredible things to promote Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths in schools, business, the community & beyond. After running The Big Bang North West for six years, popularity has multiplied, leading the team to move the event to the Exhibition Centre on Liverpool’s iconic waterfront in 2016, double the arena floor in 2017 and increase capacity to 8000 attendees for 2019. This is going to be the biggest and best event yet!
