Career Connect has successfully achieved national recognition from the Government’s Careers & Enterprise Company and has been selected as an approved provider to support the delivery of its Careers Leaders Training Programme across the North West region for the next 2 years.
Future workforce development is reliant on the ability of schools and colleges to provide high-quality careers advice and guidance to their pupils.
All schools and colleges are now expected to have an appointed Careers Leader who is responsible for developing and delivering a programme to their students based on the Gatsby eight benchmarks of excellence in careers advice, enterprise and the world of work.
Funding to train over 1,300 Careers Leaders nationally has been made available by the Careers and Enterprise Company; local charity Career Connect is one of only fourteen providers nationally approved to provide this specialist training.
Career Connect has over 18 years of experience of delivering high quality careers guidance training which will enable middle to senior leaders in schools and colleges with the tools, knowledge and confidence to become specialist Careers Leaders. We have experience in using digital technology, including webinars and E-portfolios to maximise participation and flexible assessment methods.
Our training programme will include interaction with local employers so that future careers programmes in schools are informed by the needs of business.
